I went for the GoPro in the end. Low light performance was poor on the Contour and even though it was a better size to fit on the head it was this that won over.

Ah, i fi had read your last post in time I would have said you could have borrowed my GoPro rather than buying one!

Nevermind, they are fantastic bits of kit anyway. What model did you buy? Im very tempted to get a GP3 Black edition in addition to my GP1

Whilst on the topic of small cameras - does anyone here have or has use a Panasonic Lumix LX7?

Thanks Rob, that's really nice of you. I thought I'd buy one anyway, I did look at renting, as we're shooting a lot of tunnels over the spring and summer and we'll both have them so the videos should look rather cool.

I picked up a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition with a head strap. Thought it'd pretty easy to sell later on if I have no use for it after the summer.

Thanks chaps, Mark selective colouring is not something I like either but Sophie ask for some so I have done some one trouble with the B+W shots with the shoes is as they are a dark red they don't stand out that much.

I think we as photographers don't like selective colouring but the last few weddings I have done they have all wanted some done:rolleyes:

For those interested in BIF, Found this site today. The best bit for me is that in his description of each bird, he gives tips and pointers on thier habits when faced with people pointing cameras at them.

Looks very interesting

Needed to pick up a head-mounted video camera as we are going into a whole network of tunnels soon and I want to record every second of it

Here are a couple from the other night.

They look very interesting, if you need any extras or room for someone else I would be very interested

Do you all want me to make a decision regarding a date for the London thing then? - everyone's being a bit vague.... :D

Is anyone still up for the BWC meet on Sunday? 1030am in the squirrel enclosure? remember last year it was absolutely freezing.... ;)

and Monday a couple of hours at Wisley perchance? I could get there for about 11am?

OK - we need to make a decision about the London meet, or at least narrow it down a bit...

Saturday March 16th
Sunday March 17th

Saturday April 6th
Sunday April 7th

does anyone have a preference for a Sat or a Sun, I'm sure London will be just as busy on both days. I cut out March 10th as it's Mother's Day and I figured those with kids would be busy. I'm thinking maybe we meet 3 - 4pm ish, and continue to about 7pm-ish or when everyone wants to give up and go home

I'd prefer a Sunday, and I'll go for April 7th simply because the weather might be a bit warmer!
