Thanks, guys! Man, I was so excited when I saw I won! Between my pic that I posted, and the Canon post saying I won, over 1,100 people 'like' it, there are well over 100 shares, and over 150 very complimentary comments! A lot of the people were saying things like "See, you don't need a 5DIII to take a great picture" and stuff like that.

Sorry for rambling, still pretty excited!

Thanks again!!

Allowed to ramble - it's exciting thing to happen! Congratulations.

One from yesterday. Think it would be better without the tree in the background, but I don't have a program to remove it.

Nice one George!!! I don't think the tree is disturbing, the background might have been light and boring without it. Now you show of some good bokeh..

hazwing - really love that second pano!

george - nice clear shot of the bird. I don't mind the tree in the background either, but the GIMP is a free programme which is very powerful and could clone out the tree if you wanted. It is a bit of a learning curve though, but lots of tutorials on the web.

Some reflections from last evening at the park where I walk the dog, and one shot of the hills a few miles away.

Very nice, rosey. This one looks like a Claude Monet painting.

Trimming a few trees at my house today. All four trunks are down now. Glad that's over.

Nice shot - reminds of when we used to cut firewood as a family (my Dad and sisters and their husbands), except the countryside is so different of course.
