I love my 70-200 F4 IS USM, but a bit worried, that when I get the 135L, will my 70-200 be useless then

im thinking of selling my 70/200f4 for the 135. as it sits alot, and i feel this one wouldnt.

Canon 1Dmark3, 6D, 17/40L, 24/70 L, 70/200 is f4, sigma 50 1.4

This looks like a brenizer stitch :). This lens will be the biggest source of remorse for switching to nikon for me... I wonder if anyone has ever used this with an adapter (manual focus only). That'd be way cheaper than getting the nikon 135 f2 lens... This lens is a bargain for the $725 or so you can find it for like new......!!

.....and nevermind. There pretty much will never be an adapter for canon EF lenses for nikon F mount due to the design :'( Guess I'll have to save like $1000 for a somewhat comparable Nikon 135.

Start saving to re-buy maybe?

I must say I like what is in your signature, made me laugh!

I'm trying. I'll most probably buy 85/1.8 or 17-40L before that (stuck with a 50 right now).

And haha, mission accomplished! :D

Shot this indoors with the 135mm. Not a easy lens to use indoors but it's great to get your subject comfortable by not having a lens in their face initially.

Every time I come to this thread, I want this lens more and more. Need to acquire it somehow. I feel like it's necessary for my existence.

Super awesome shot, lighting is perfect.

I'm gonna subscribe to this thread until I have enough to get one...

Indeed. The difference in flange distance does let me mount my old Nikkor AI-S 135/2.0 (used on Nikon FE-2 back in film days) on my Canon 7D with a very thin adapter. Manual everything, of course.

OTOH, if you are doing macro, that extra distance is just an extension freebie. I have not noticed if there is an adapter for Canon lenses on Nikon since it would have this limitation.
