If shooting in JPEG the 6D has in camera correction data too (it requires a lens that has the correction data in the camera, the 24-105 should be there). Not sure how effective that correction is.

Just wanted to add here that it is possible to download additional correction data (i.e., for lenses that the 6D has no correction data for out of the box) and install it to the camera. I've been meaning to do this.

The 6D corrects the 24-105 really well. I haven't noticed any vignetting whatsoever.

Mine either.

Wish the camera corrected lens distortion at the wide end...but the distortion seems easy to correct in PS.

Yes, I did crop the photo. I had a T2i before and now with the 6D I am learning that I don't have the reach I did before with the crop sensor.

It's a great shot and would make a great print. How are you liking the 6D? I have the t3i and i'm not liking the iso performance at all. :(

I am more than thrilled with the 6D. Its a huge change for me from the T2i. The overall feel of the camera just fits my hands better and the build seems so solid.

The low light capability is phenomenal. The center point will focus in a near dark room and there isn't much noise at the high ISOs. And I am not afraid to shoot higher ISOs especially with my 100-400. For me to get a good shot with that lens freehand, I need to keep the shutter speed up, and unless you are in great light, it was tough with the T2i. Now I am not afraid to crank up the shutter with a high ISO and get a great shot without the noise.

What I really like is the ISO 50 for shooting waterfalls. If you look on page 100/101 of this thread, I posted a shots I did at ISO 50 and it really helped cut the light to get the effect I wanted.

I reckon he would have, but the iso 50 still allow one to double their max shutter time compared to iso 100. ;-)a

I've finally sold my 50D. Now just waiting on the sale of some lenses & then hopefully I'll be able to get my 6d. Woot!
