I've only just started to get back to shooting (and posting on POTN) and I have to say I'm ashamed how quickly I got gear envy again, and desperately see the 5D MkIII as the subject of my adoration! I did alot of reading. I really thought I needed the 1Dx, well I do, but after reading and comparing (quite a few of those on POTN) I realized the 1Dx IQ is really no better than the 5DIII, maybe over ISO3200 but how often will I go there and be happy with the results? Ken Rockwell (I know but his comparison was interesting) even goes as far as to say the ISO values of the 1Dx have been tweaked to over expose slighty and get pulled back in camera to show lower noise. So with the 5DIII expose to the right, you win. 6fps is not really fast enough but is not so slow you cannot use it. I would love for Canon to add a grip that can take a 1D battery to speed it upto 8 or 9... that would rock! http://natureimmortal.blogspot.com
