Elinchrom has done some rather weird things lately with their 'hybrid' Quadra packs. Other than that, nothing much really...

I think i can speak for most when i say that we are eagerly waiting for a lithium ranger pack. For me the option that would get me to upgrade immediately would be a Lithium Ranger AS Power Pack, thew new Zoomable heads with protectors and a comfortable strap, also an Integrated Skyport.

Support is now in Arizona, when did that happen? Does anyone know more about that transition from NJ to AZ? Is Manfrotto still the distributor? Or did they just move the support/repair facility?

Ugh I know ALLLLLL about the service going from NJ to AZ. I sent my stuff in right as they switched. I had my strobe go from LA to NJ to AZ to LA ........ and it was not fixed.

I am not a huge fan of this new place, but I hope other people have a better experience than I did. It might have sucked because of when I sent it in.

Was that service to fix the fused banana plugs at the flash tube sockets? Or was this related to your heavy-handed usage??

That was exactly it. The banana plug problem when the tube came out a bit.

You should try a Tronix Explorer. I saw a pretty good review. It comes in matte black so it will look pro.
