need to practice a lot though. with the shots above, i still have to tweak a little bit with my settings. maybe because there's also some ambient light in the mix.

how do you meter a two light setup e.g. two shoot through umbrella?

You can always tweak to your taste, remember the meter will get you pretty much were you need to be then you can just adjust if you need to.
With two lights meter your key light first then set your fill light to were you want it eg power. Then point meter at camera and take a reading and set your camera to what it says.
Also it all depends on the effect you are after

Just upgraded to the 60D from a T3, been shooting about a year, and hanging around here on the forums. Haven't gotten a chance to take the 60D out yet, but pictures from my rebel and t3 can found on my flickr in the sig.
