Here is a red tailed hawk that i photographed last saturday morning out in Bay St.Louis, Mississippi. The photo was taken with my new 400mm 5.6/f telephoto lens on a 60D. This photo was taken from around 100ft away.

I agree, while he was sitting at the highest point in the tree a stong gust of wind came thru almost blowing him out the tree so he leaned into the wind, giving him that crazy look, i think it almost looks like i angled the crop but i didnt...

How do you like the 60D? What ISO do you shoot with it?

I definitely like it better than my rebel t3. I havent used a 7d really so i dont have anything to compare it to. But i will say features wise its great compared to the t3..which isnt saying much :)

Well my iso selection is heavily dependent on what im photographing. Whenever i do my macro stuff i find even 100 iso isnt low enough. But for portraits, or wild life photos i can go much higher without ruining the photo too much. Also the 60d, compared to my t3, has a much wider range for iso like the 60d can do 100,125,150,etc.

IN short im happy with it.

Great photo. I am also jealous of your new lense. That thing is a beast. What do you use for your Macro shooting?
