I do. ;) What's harder is the camera was already delivered! Now I have to sit here all day, then take my daughter to dance class tonight, then have dinner and put them to bed. Ugh! Going to have to read some (more) reviews during lunch.

I can't believe you're not using it at dance class. lol. That's discipline.

Also, if anyone is still debating getting one, don't forget Best Buy has 18 months same as cash and free shipping. Totals under 3K.

Parents don't watch. We sit in the hallway waiting. lol And I had my 2 year old with me, so I just left it at home. I know I want some time to myself when I open a new toy, so I wait until the kids are in bed for everyone's sanity. :D

LOVE the 5D3! Didn't take long to reach that conclusion last night.

I forgot to mention I used some of the tips I found in reviews linked here. Particularly from Ron Martinsen's blog. One more I did that I'm sure others have thought of, I made the "Set" button function as a zoom so I still have zoom with my right hand. I already hated it being on the left. My wife commented "Even I'm used to it being on the right!"

I just got my 5D MK III a few days ago and will like to use an Eye fi card to wirelessly transmit images to my tablet. Are there some brands or types that I need to stay away from? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

With the 7D, i hit shutter button half way down then use the joystick to select which point.

With the 5d Mk 3, i need to hit shutter button then hit [+] button then use joystick. Extra step.

Is there a hidden menu to make it like the 7D?!

Yes. In custom controls, select the joystick and then change it to AF Point. I did the same thing. :)

I am using the Transcend 16G WiFi card and works great. I am sending the RAW to the CF and small JPG to the iPad.

Question brothers in 5DIII...

When you select RAW in the Image quality, it shows the number of shots you can do.

e.g.

22M 5760x3840 [880]

question is.... is the 880 for both cards? i have a CF and an SD both 32GB.

I asked because I have to shoot 500 elementary kids on thursday plus group shots of each class.

thanks in advance.

I assume you have it set to auto switch? I would pull 1 card out and see how many it says.

Just had my first "weird" issue. I emptied a CF card after uploading photos to my computer. All photos deleted from the card. I put it back in my camera and it shows "Card 1 Full" in my display. I mess with it a little and finally end up reformatting the card. It worked, but I'm still wondering what made it do that.

That is odd Eric - how exactly did you "empty" all the images from the card? It sounds like you used the PC to delete the card images as it sat in the reader? I've never done it that way myself, always formatting in-camera to blow the images away.
