We did this shoot last month. Temps were in the 20's with a little breeze. She was such a trooper though! The setup for all the shots (as seen below) was just an umbrella with a PCB Einstein.

#2 the WB between subject and background looks a bit off, but I like set. Well done.

I really like #6 and #7. #8 and #3 looks like her shirt has some blown highlights.

Yeah. When I saw she had a white shirt it started making me a little nervous about getting even exposure. She really liked then though.

Lovely set, #2 and #4 are outstanding, pity about the whites in #3 and #8 but great shots nevertheless.

I don't know your level of experience, so if I say something that seems obvious to you I do not intend to be mean if it seems that way. I just have to comment as I see some very promising things with this location.

#2 - The pose is a bit unnatural, the background is also distracting. I know you are going for the barn/western look and there is that wagon wheel, but I don't feel this is a very strong image. The white shirt is a bit overexposed and seems to have a bit of a blue cast. Very harsh shadow under the chin.

#3 - This is a great shot with a few technical fixes. I love the texture in the stone, however you've done a bit too much with the strobe I think and there is a good shadow going on behind her. I would try to back off a bit as the shirt is overexposed and the face and arms are as well. Also adding a reflector to throw a bit of light back behind her to reduce the shadow. It's very good otherwise. I would change the pose perhaps a bit - maybe have her rest her hand on the door rather than droop down.

#4 - Nice shot, sky is balanced fairly well - I think the light on your subject is just a bit hot.

#5 - I like the shot, but have her turn some, also warm up the light and dial the flash back some. Watch the shadows from the chin.

#6 - Beautiful shot - lovely texture and colors here - a bit less light on the dress/face again and try to mitigate the harsh shadow from the single light at camera left by using a reflector or another small flash/strobe to the right.

#7 - I feel this is much more what #2 should have been, but dial back the light again. Other than that a very nice shot.

#8 - Just too much blown highlight for me and the background is a bit of a distraction.

A lot of this may be some minor things that a client would not notice, overall a nice set. Work on these things and they would be even better.
