There's also the Samy's Camera location in Santa Ana, which is not to far from San Diego. The don't charge tax on selected items. -rick

I live in San Diego but buy most of my gear online but there are some great shops in SD. If you are near downtown then Nelson's is great and has a knowledgeable staff and plenty of gear. The other store is George's which is little further from downtown but everyone in there is a camera geak. No need to drive too far as others have stated Calumet also has plenty o' gear.

It's sunny and 75 today....I love SD.

Harry's Camera, Studio City. They sell to a lot of the movie people.
