500mm f/4 IS ll very soon. (slightly over 10 grand)

Me too.

And if you say only 10 grand, it doesn't sound so bad. ;)

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.
When you see my photos you'll know that I'm not.

Instead of wasting that money on equipment i would use it on a trip around the world to take some nice pictures using my current gear.

My perfect line up will not come anywhere near £10000. The 600 f4 IS II is over £10K on it's own. Then there would be the 1.4 and 2× extenders. Oh and a 100-400 too, with gripped 5DIII's to hang on the lenses, well they wouldn't be a lot of good without them. Then there is the tripod and wimberly head (well over 1K on its own). So a quick price up at WEX and I have hit £19428.08, so I guess that's a big fail on the 10K budget, and it's British pounds not USD, but 20% is sales tax! which is put on after import duties are added :( so it will come down a bit compared to US pricing.

EF 17-40 F/4 USM.
EF 70-200 F/2.8.
2x 580 ex II or 600 EX-RT.
2x ST-E3 Rt

EOS 7D with the 28-135 IS USM lens
