Like many areas of the Grand Circle, pictures just do not do this place justice. My brother and I struck out for Wave permits and figured we had to see something unique (we don't get out here too often since we live in Florida).

This place is pretty damn remote. You know when you're driving on 89 between Page (Az.) and Kanab (Ut.) or on 89a around Marble Canyon and you think, "man there's nothing out here". Well, White Pocket is deeper into that "nothing". Don't even think of going out here without a high clearance 4wd and a knowledge of driving in deep sand (no road).

Here are the shots (Q&C's greatly welcomed):

My brother climbing to another vantage point while yelling, "there's even more cool sh*t over here!" I took more from this spot without him in it but I like this one the best.

Lovely shots, great terrain and sky. I see the Batman symbol, dead center of this one.

Fantastic formations. Fantastic photos. Those are the kind of days that it's great to be a photographer.

This is an awesome shot. Well balanced with the items in the foreground. Footprints, clouds, textures...perfection! Oh and I loved your brother's comment!

All great shots but this one is my favourite! I like the layout of it with the tree in it.

Great shots. Thanks for sharing. I'm actually hoping to get there myself in the next few weeks. How was the weather? Did you come in from the North? Was it hard to find?

Spectacular scenery and shots. Ya' done good, pilgrim. KUDOS.

Have plenty of Canons, enough ammo, enough to blow 'em to "L". Now, I just have to learn to aim.

Love that area, glad you got out there and nabbed some great shots. Hope you checked into Wire Pass, too. Permits to The Wave used to be pretty easy to get in March, may be more popular now.
