She wouldn't have been nearly as conspicuous if she had a helmet.

Your "host" must have gotten some award winning shots then.....because your shots are nothing to sneeze at.

As for the G(al)IB, well, I didn't set this up so I really had no say in how it all came off. Passenger was a little unexpected, but at this level of "cubic dollar" costs, one does not look a gift "horse" in the mouth. More than one person has pointed out that the passenger is either a distraction or should at least have kept eye contact with the camera ship, but if it didn't bother my host, I sure wasn't going to bring it up! :D

That seems to be the way it always works out and that is why I really clarified that it was not a critique of your images. I've been very fortunate that I've never had to pay the gas for any of my air-to-air shoots so like you said, I guess it ultimately comes down to the guy paying!

The worst case of this I ever had was the photo-target plane pilot decided to invite a 5 year old boy along on the flight. 15 minutes into the flight he melted down and we had to scrub and head back. Never got a chance to do a re-shoot on that either!

Let's just say the state of her post-flight physiology would not be suitable for a family-friendly environment... ;)

Stunning set of shots Jay, really well processed too. IMHO, whilst the passenger would have been less conspicuous with some dark shades on perhaps I think she adds an element to the photos, the way she is looking around in wonder at the miracle of flight and the landscape around her is kind of nice.
