ok here is 2 photographs, one a little bit darker and deeper tones, and the second, is a more basic conversion. which one do you guys like best ?!

this girl is absolutely gorgeous, and the black and white works well with a grey backround . so let me know what you guys think .

#2 for the B&W for me, but the color version overall. Why hide those gorgeous eyes?

You're absolutely right, she is gorgeous and you nailed her eyes! Might want to clean up that little spot on her chin in the color photo with the spot healing tool but that's it IMO. The grey backgroudn works well with her sweater. Nice job!

so besides the eyes. what reason do you like the second one over the first?

to much black?

yeah. Too much black, a little too much contrast. I like seeing the detail in her hair in #2 that I can't see in #1.

#2 for me. #1 has too much black and shadow which looks unnatural. If I were to edit this pic I might add a bit of grain to make it look more like film.

I like the colour version too.
