That's how I'd do it now but I was wondering if anyone had other ways to do it, although I realise it can't be assigned to a custom function.
Another way I was doing it was to use a C mode to mirror my current shooting mode but with spot rather than the normal metering. This works ok but I if do change my settings too much to make it practical for walking around.

Ive just started using the set button for iso.. bit difficult changing it from the magnify button but I think this is a better option

I'm totally into Highlight Tone Priority. I really like the "D+" icon in the viewfinder. I even set that function on My Menu! :cool:

I love all these things...but the one feature I wish it had was a My Menu option to jump to the AF CASE settings...that would be great.

PS: 7D has orientation linked focus points and "registered" AF points...glad to see those carried over. In many ways the 5D3 seems more like a 7DII...
