Well I took my 6D back to Best Buy today, decided I really want the 24-105L with it so I'm having them ship the kit to me next week :) I'm going to miss it until the new one gets here though :(

I'm placing an order for a GGS screen protector, spare battery and a lens hood unless it comes with one (Can anyone answer that for me?) but I'm not sure which battery to go with because I'm definitely not dishing out for the Canon one.

Does anyone have experience with this set? I tend to do a lot of outings where a car charger would be useful so this kit looked ideal, but I'd really like to have batteries that give me an accurate readout...

If you mean the 6D kit, then yes, it comes with the lens hood and lens bag for the 24-105.

Thank you guys, just the info I needed! And I actually have Wasabi Power batteries for my Nikon P300, they work great, I just wasn't sure from the amazon description and some of the reviews if they were compatible or not, just ordered them

I decided to try my cheap Sigma 18-50DC on my 6D before I returned it, the results didn't seem any worse (And much wider) then on my T2i after I cropped out the vignetting. I zoomed the lens fully and focused to both stops before putting it on and the rear element ever protrudes past the mount... so I'm assuming this lens is safe to use on the 6D? I don't think I'll ever feel the need to since I'm getting the 24-105L now, but I'm curious :P

Geez! - I feel intimidated by the excellent photos everyone else is posting.
The cat above taken with the 35/2 looks just so amazingly sharp! ;-O

Tested the camera out with my nifty fifty. Reasonably happy with it - just need to remember to crank the shutter speed up a bit from the 24-105 as I'm used to the excellent IS.
Also acquired a 85 1.8 for a couple of hundred bucks. Very happy now and cant wait to use it...

^Thank you! The 35/2 really is a great little lens, especially on this body! I did cheat a little bit and apply some sharpening in LR4... ;)

The 6400 is pretty jawdropping too

The color catches my eye because i do a lot of flowers, birds, etc, where i love color rendition (Was a long time fan of Velvia films)

Wow, would be really nice to do a Velvia-lookalike in PP for landscape images. Gonna try that one out, once all these white stuff are gone

Yeah the 6400 images look really nice, even up to 12800 to some extent is still good with the 6D.

Could someone shoot some moving objects/people using AI servo and center point focus so we can see the results?
I do shoot sports and really only use the center point so I'm curious to see if this camera can do well with those settings.
Or if there is a link to already posted samples I would appreciate the heads up.
Great shots here!
