Sorry it is so cold! A beavertail is fried dough. I think there are probably variants of this all over the place but ours might be unique in that it is a large, flat oval. It looks like a beaver tail, hence the name. They are made fresh for each customer and topped with your favorite topping. The original flavour is called Killaloe Sunrise (after the Ontario town where the business got started) and consists of cinnamon sugar drizzled with lemon juice. Another favorite is Nutella. We used to have one located at the base of Lake Louise ski area. It disappeared in the mid 90s replaced by a drinking establishment.
