Has anyone tried using the RC-1 remote with a 6D? Wondering if it will work. Thanks!

The Canon RC-1 is discontinued. If you already have it try it out to see if it works. If you don't have it they replaced the Canon RC-1 with a Canon RC-6. It works with all the other Canon consumer/prosumer cameras like the 5D Mark II/III so I would asume it will work with the 6D as well.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

The RC-6 is what Canon lists as compatible with the 6D.

I can't imagine that the RC-1 (which I've had since my film body) which also works with just about every DSLR and many P&S cameras, would somehow not work on the 6D. The same goes for the RC-5. As far as I can tell, they just updated the RC-5 with the instant shutter release feature, and called it the RC-6.

I have an RC-1, but the 6D hasn't arrived yet. Was just wondering if I need to do some more shopping. Though I suppose I could just use the EOS Remote app for the same effect.
