I have never purchased a Luma product yet, and I have never seen one in real life. Everything I know about it is from this forum, the Luma website and other reviews of their product on the web.

I am struck by the innovative design and the uncompromising attention to detail that Greg is describing here even to the short-term detriment of his bottom line. It is truly remarkable IMO - surely the pressure to put a product out even if every component was not perfect must be great, and many a lesser company would have succumbed to it. Plus the fact that it is made stateside (in my hometown too...) is making this upcoming purchase a no-brainer for me.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Morning folks, how about a little bit of old Luma-pr0n to brighten everyone's morning? :p

That's 2x mk1 Loop's, 2x mk2's, a mk1-->mk2 upgrade kit, and a Loopit. Can't get enough of that pre-BR-destroyed-everything goodness.

HOARDER!! :lol:

You should see my sealed packs of batman nacho chips! (from the 1989 Batman movie). I'm preparing for the end-times.

The mk2 Luma Loop was (in my opinion) the single greatest camera strap ever made. It's a darn shame that information on the Loops/Loopits have all but been wiped from existence online--save for a handful of reviews.

I understand what you were saying.... :cool:
For me I will just keep my one and wait for the upgrade kit.

Any pictures of the new membrane connector? I would be quite interested in one with a smaller D-ring.

Deciding between this and the Peak Design Camera Capture Clip system...and will be biting the bullet on the Capture Clip soon if this doesn't come out (no, this is not a threat lol just saying I need something besides my OpTech neck and wrist straps).

The only thing stopping me from going with that system is the need to use their plates. I like my L plate.
