However I have had other relationships that ended less pleasantly than this one and I think I would probably turn those shoots down in a heartbeat. It all just depends on the situation I guess.

In those cases, I think it's reasonable to assume that the other party would not have approached the photographer to ask for a shoot.

"I know I broke a lamp over your head last time I saw you, but I really need an engagement photographer, whaddaya say?

Heh! A number of years ago I was "involved" with a very lively lady. She enjoyed going on "outings", me with my camera gear and her free to prance around. And, many of those occasions featured her, well, unclothed.

For her to have access to those photos, I put "selected" ones in a password protected gallery on my PBase site, not visible to the "public"...!

Holding out on us, Tony?

Or maybe you will have removed any of her doubt about you by clearly pointing out how imature and insecure you really were and the best move of her life was dumping you.... muahahahahahahaha :):):)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Crushes are for 12 year old girls. Learn to be an emotionless cyborg badass like me.

For someone you have a crush on, it'd be EXTREMELY hard... because you'd picture yourself in that position and even in the midst of editing, your emotions would get the best of you.

I suppose, if you're 17.
If you're an adult, and you're over it, it shouldn't be a problem. If you're not over it, you need to decide if you're going to act like a child and cry about it or do your job.

This isn't a movie, crying over it isn't going to make things change, and people don't run off and leave their fiance' at the alter for their old flame.

If you can list all your gear in your sig line, you don't have enough stuff.

I would also crop out the 3rd wheel.
