Anyone shoot action sports with this lens? I'm not looking for top-of-the-line performance, but I want something that can focus relatively quick and has decent IQ. I'd be using it for mountain biking, primarily.

i haven't done much sports photography with this lens yet, but i did quite a few shots of dogs running (towards me and from side to side) and a bit of bird shooting and i can tell you that the af is kinda fast actually. I dont have other lenses to compare YET, but for me it is a decent autofocusing lens (note that manual focus doenst work while you are in af mode). if you are shooting in low light then this lens is not for you, the af won't work. as for the image quality goes - im very happy. again, i can't compare it to any other lens but it is a decent performer. hope i helped ;)

Just got this lens a few days ago with my 60D. I haven't used it too much as I usually have the 60mm on my camera but I think I will get a lot of use out of it this summer. Here is one that I took yesterday morning with it though.
