Mar 19, 2013 18:12 | #297 Time to add to this thread. My first posts using this lens. Love it. Sooooo much working distance compared to the 100 macro.
Emerald Tree Baby Boa
Emerald Tree Baby Boa - 12 image stack. Manually combined 7 images for the head. The rest combined with Zerene Stacker.
I'm in Canada. Isn't that weird!

Mar 20, 2013 20:14 | #299 newworld666 wrote in post #15735121 ![]() Nice shots !! Thanks. Zerene Stacker looks rather efficient too! Any experience compared to Helicon ? I like Zerene stacker. It has never let me down. There are some tough stacks that require more intervention other than pressing "START STACK". I have not had a chance to try Helicon. Both programs cost about the same. I have seen some head to head comparisons. At the time Zerene was better at head complex stacks. But that was done on older versions of both programs. I believe that Helicon has had an update on it's stacking algorithms since then. Both come with a free limited time trial period if you wanted to check them out. I can't use Helicon anymore since my trial expired (and I never really used it while I had the chance). I'm in Canada. Isn't that weird!
