I just found this thread and will be getting through it all, good info here.

John, that's a nice photo. I'll have to mess with mine in the studio.

Here's one I took during a cold snowy day in a conservatory. They normally will not allow tripods, but it was a slow day and the curator thought what I had in mind was worthy.

Wow what a shot, I really like the processing. I'm seriously considering a 590nm conversion for my 5Dc and calibrating it to my 85mm 1.8 so I can use it for portraits if I like. That way I can get these types of shots and still use a 830nm filter on the lens if I want a deep B/W.

Yup just screw in an 830nm filtr and off you go for deep B&W shots

Hi all. I'm new to this thread.
It's excellent to see interest in IR here. I've had a converted 450D (720nm) for about a year now, and haven't learnt to use it properly yet. Nearly sold it recently to fund an upgrade to a 6D. Glad I kept it though & I hope I can learn some shooting and processing skills here.

Anyhoo, here is a couple of my most recent images. Only applied fairly basic channel swapping and levels to these.

Nice pics.

Thanks. Your pics on previous page are very nice also. I do like the false colour infrared shots. Sometimes I feel the 720nm is a tad boring...

Actually I always carry a screw in 720nm for some hight contrast B&W shots.

Nice stuff. What lens are you using? I had my camera calibrated to work with the 50mm f/1.8 II. Most of my images aren't all that sharp. Yours look pretty decent. I attribute it to the fact that only about 1/4 of the pixels are seeing any light.

I'm in Canada. Isn't that weird!

I don't get out with this camera much either. But with the cloud cover we had today I just had to. :D I think all three edits work with this image.

Thanks! these were shot with the 17-40, my camera was calibrated for the niftyfifty as well. AF wise it's tricky since the camera sees differently, and shooting point n shoot style while looking at the backscreen doesn't work in bright sunlight. I usually set the AF to infinity (with manual adjustments) and then hope it doesn't go out of focus :p

Is anyone here remotely interested in a full spectrum converted Olympus EPL-1?

Just thought I'd check here first before bothering in post in the market-place.
