I played with the flash folks were coming into the room and due on lack of experience (but I do have the speedlighters handbook and his new book) I was unable to dial it in.
So I took the shots as I said above and I think they will be happy.
Someone send me an email and I will send a pic or two and maybe you can post for me.

I edited them lightly in LR4 and exported them.
They are about 1.09 MB now.
I then chose the best of each person and cropped as well.
Two disks.
The original pics edited and the crops.

Karl.
You and I are alike.
I keep thinking do I really need my 70-200 f/4 L IS along with my 70-200 f/2.8 L IS?
And the answer is always yes.
I was just at the NJ Repair Center two weeks ago myself.

I keep thinking how nice it would be to trade the 70-200 f4 IS for a 400 f 5.6 but I can't bring myself to part with it.
Got the 5D3 and the big dog back from Canon in NJ and they matched the lens with the camera probably fixed the light leak issue.
I took a couple of pics with the newly cleaned and matched 70-200 2.8 II and was delighted with what I saw.

I've never seen an event shooter use a tripod and flash. Like Ed said, 24-105 and flash.

your gear pile suggests a fair amount of decision constipation
