On my way home from work i took a different road and noticed alot of geese hanging out near the river bank. I didn't want to startle them or scare them off, so i quietly got out of the truck with my 40D and 50 1.8 in hand and attempted to see what i can do. I plan on getting the 85 1.8 soon, and later a 70-200. i noticed if i were standing up the shadow and size of me would intimidate them and they'd start to walk away. so i kneeled down for most of em, and got suprisingly close (about 4-5 feet?)
Now keep in mind i don't shoot alot of birds or wildlife as much as i'd like. I want to learn to make it work with what i have.
forgive me if the title is misleading, i'm sure there are many photographers who've done much better with much less. If you have any with the 50 or wider that worked out well, please post, i'd like to see how it turned out
