Hi, here is a video I put together from my scuba diving in Grand Cayman. All shot with a G15 and Canon WP-DC48 housing and ambient light. I had a 750 lumen i-torch but couldn't get the right settings.

Custom WB was used every 3 minutes or so or as the depth changed. Even at 100 ft I was able to get some color back. My GoPro lost all color at 25 ft without a filter.

I'm very happy with the camera and housing considering the housing is significantly cheaper than other brands:

A very enjoyable video for us non-divers. The G15 did an admirable job.

That is excellent. My G15 & DC48 showed up today. I leave for Grand Cayman on Sat :)

I watched the video twice. Nice work.

Did you use the underwater mode on the camera? I noticed some pink hues in some shots...any idea what caused that?

The pink hues are from my post editing, trying to bring out some more color. I just checked the raw output and it's not pink. It is however blown highlights from the sand. I suggest you assign the custom white balance to the shortcut button on the back and bring a white slate. It's a it a bit of a pain because you have to switch hands, but push the shortcut button while aiming at the slate and you've set your WB, just do that every time your depth changes more than 5-10 feet and you'll have decent color. Some of the early shots were at 90+ feet and still had decent color.

Have fun!
