Wow, 17 entries this week, impressive! Let's go.
SIKARANISTA / Carol - John
Not really a mug shot, but a powerful portrait. Where is this guy going? Climbing Mount Everest? Well done.
jhjl1 / James - Joanie Marie Lower Pier
Unusual portrait. I am a bit bothered by the thick vignetting and the blue reflection in her right eye / glass.
mrshobden / Linda - Mr. Gargoyle
That's some nasty mug shot! I almost spilled my beer!
I like his intense evil eyes - Good details too.
Irish Jim - Mug Shot
Adorable mug, good detail, clean background - Maybe a little blown spot on top of the head? I guess I'm being finicky here, I like him very much anyway.
Teekay - Granny June
Perky Granny has some mischievous look! Come here and don't you tell me any tale! Well done.
Ispriluc - Mother in Law
My God, if this is your Mother in Law our prayer and condolences are sent your way! That's quite a mug! Would be better yet with a straightened background. Very special mug shot anyway.
Rally Man - No title
A powerful portrait, hard contrast and intense look. I am not going to criticize the completely dark side since I suspect that's what you wanted to achieve. Well done, in that specific style.
3leggeddog - Mrs. 3leggeddog
Nice sweet portrait. I like the smooth, candle-like light on her face and the light shadows. I like less the iron thingy on the wall, the small pimple left on the forehead and the blue background on the right that does not match the other side - but I guess I am being finicky again. I am not bothered by the top of the head missing, it's a close up, the eyes are attractive enough to draw us toward her face.
CAR - Happy, sad and just plain weird
Three nice mugs in the same picture, well done! Good detail and lighting, not easy with plain white objects.
noobzor - No title
Nice smiling kid, I like the use of the stone as a reflector. I would have tried to close in more, or to crop the pic to try and eliminate some of that background and make it less "point and shoot". Nice picture of a happy kid in any case.
BobsYourUncle - My daughters goofing around
Goofing is the word! Two mugs for the price of one! Hope you have more glamorous shots of your daughters
jt354 - Inverted
Unusual mug shot! Good exposure and original pose, but I find it kinda difficult to be attracted to it. Sorry, that's just me I guess.
Marie - Galway Girl
I liked this mug at first sight! Nice lighting, happy smiling character, so graceful and delicate. Crisp details, clean background, the mussed hair give it some natural and casual look that goes well with the face and well - the idea of a Galway girl!
pwdieter / Paul - Had I Know What I Know About Marriage
A tender and cleverly aged double portrait, full of nostalgia. Nice light vignetting and color treatment (split toning?). Well done as usual.
Maureen Souza - Dapper Lad
Lively and happy mug, good lighting, nice colors (dapper!) and details. I love the portrait, I like the background less - although the character is attractive enough to draw the eye to him. Well done.
Raven / Jim - Happy Camper
The title says it all, nice on-the-fly portrait, good lighting considering it's inside the car, warm colors and smile. Well done.
CarloY - This is Embarrassing and I'd rather be in a school lunch Frankly
Very special mug shot, good idea. Maybe the G9 shows its limits - or is it extreme cropping?
And the Winners are:
# 1 Marie / Galway Girl (It's St Patrick's Day after all!)
# 2 Maureen / Dapper Lad
# 3 Irish Jim / Mug Shot (St Patrick, again!)
