There is a reason insurance is invented or you thought its only the modernized tyrants under that title?

Getting nervous now, 4 business days since the ups tracking indicated that it has been received at the Irvine facility, but no confirmation or RN number from Canon. I called them up yesterday and it hasn't been entered into the system yet. Should I be worried? Others have gotten their cameras repaired in about 5 days and I can't even get a confirmation that they've received it.

I had the same experience. Canon Irvine does not log your equipment received till they start to work on it. I don't know if this is to make their turn around time look better but it is a PITA for the customer. It took a week for them to acknowledge they had my camera and lens and I had them both back a few days later.

I am not a CPS customer either and it took about 4 or 5 days after they received the lens to get an email this past week. Like others have said I think they do not log it in and send you the email until after they start the repair or at least look it over as part of the repair. But once they logged it the repair was quick and had the lens back within a week.
