I wish I didn't "cut" his back legs on this one, but I find it interesting

Being just a beginner in the world of DSLR cameras and photography in general, can I ask a question? When you are taking these great pictures, are you using a tripod? The first picture is really crisp, not blurry, etc. When I've taken pictures so far they have never come out as sharp.. Any advise?

The first picture is really crisp, not blurry, etc. When I've taken pictures so far they have never come out as sharp.. Any advise? Thanks and welcome! I did not use a tripod. If your photos are blurry I would recommend using a faster shutter speed to freeze any motion or prevent the effects of camera shake. I would also make sure that your camera and lens are focusing correctly. You can also use a narrower aperture (higher f-number) to increase your depth of field and bring more of the photo into focus. Hopefully that helps! BB Snapshots wrote in post #15772585 ![]() ![]() ![]() 185/366 - Lily ![]() ![]() Love this! Anthony | Flickr

oldvultureface Goldmember ![]() More info | To add to Anthony's post, many of the pictures here were taken with "fast" lenses, lenses with large apertures. They blur the background/foreground and make the subject stand out. Read Ben's guide as to how aperture affects an image.
