Beautiful shot Jim. Watch that spot, it looks like he may be drilling a hole for a nest, that could be interesting!

Excellent shot. I have one drilling a large hole in a tree on my farm, if Ian is right I just may get my chance at a Pileated soon. They sure have been elusive for me thus far.
