What housing and lenses/ports are you using? I'm jumping at the chance of shooting from the water (probably moving to Brisbane/Gold Coast in a few months).

I dont know how you guys surf in cold weather like that....I detest the cold at the best of times. No matter how good the surf, I dont enjoy it in cold water.

There is nothing better than riding in just boardies and a rash vest in the warm waters and sunshine in locations like Indo and Hawaii...(only one more week to go thank God and then I am off to Bali Indonesia :-) )

I would have liked to go slummies, but it is just way too far to justify.....I think people dont realise just how big Australia actually is....

For me to get to Bells from Perth, it is either a four and a half hour flight to Melbourne, then followed by several more hours driving a hire car from Melbourne to Bells, or if I wanted to drive direct from Perth to Bells in my own car, it would take about 4 days....Either method would also be incredibly expensive. Airfares & petrol prices in Australia are damn bloody expensive.

You can actually drive two solid days non-stop and not even get out of my state, Western Australia. Western Australia is massive. If it was only an 8 hour drive at best to Bells, I would have thought of going as I havent been to Bells for many years now. I did a surf trip around that part of Australia many years ago going to places like, Lorne, Torquay, Anglesea & Bells etc. There is some good quality breaks around that stretch of coastline.

I have been going to Hawaii for the last few years for the Vans Triple Crown events. I am heading off to Bali next weekend and will be going to places like Uluwatu, Medwi, Padang Padang, Airport's reefs etc and then I am back to Hawaii in November and December of this year, so I am not really that fussed about missing Bells.
