The bokeh is cool, and I like the light, but I'm really not sure what the subject is. 5.5/10

^Thanks, it was mostly a test of my Yashica lens and the general dumpyness of the county I live in.

And to your photo, 10/10, beautiful subject, beautiful composition, I don't see anything not to like ;)

And to the photo above (was posted at the same time as mine) 9/10, I love the feel of the photo, very sweet :)

One more with the Yashica...

9/10 - Beautiful b & w conversion of a great portrait. One feels as if they can touch the subject. Nice job!

I volunteer at the SD Zoo and this parrot greets me everyday!

wow, love this! Great hair light and flare. Did you use a flash?

Thank you! No flash. Just spot metering on the face and minor adjustments on the RAW in LR4.

Very nice expression and capture! Seems just a tad underexposed to me. 9/10

QUOTED IMAGE

It gives the impression that the horizon is tilted, so it throws the shot off a bit for me. I bit more contrast and vibrance. 7/10

9/10. It's missing a bikini on the sand:-P Otherwise, I think it's a great shot.

8/10 nice capture of his expression, the eyes are really sharp and focused. I like the composition also.

8/10. I like how the whole butterfly is in focus and not blurred out in any way.

7.5/10. Focus is good, though the cat's eyes could be sharpened a little. I find the right side of the photo to be a little distracting (designs on the wall and the bright reflection on the top right). Maybe you could crop off the right side. I like the shot!

Not sure where the concept is headed but pulled off the composite pretty well. I would work on the shadowing of the person to match the scene and maybe add a shadow on the record for the person as well.
