your photo gave us an important information about the cat tongue
it is not just a comb, but small spoons help him to drink water and milk too :D

Freaky looking though ;)

I don't know what the deal is with these birds. Maybe we just haven't had any decent light around here lately but It has been a real pain to get a decent shot of one of these birds. They're not super skiddish or anything but I've probably taken hundreds of shots of them and only have a couple that are half way decent.

The deep blacks on these birds makes the exposure challenging in my opinion. I like to use fill flash (better Beamer) on these guys to bring out detail in the wings.

Here are a couple of images taken during the famous "Shiley's Cheetah Run" at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park where visitors line the stretch of the run and are within 15 feet from the animal as it races down the track. There are 3 cheetahs that do this run and this day it was Shiley doing the honors. The cheetah follows a stuffed toy attached to a rope that is pulled down the 100 meter track at speeds in excess of 70mph. Shiley is the largest cheetah at the park but that doesn't slow him down as it took him 5.1 seconds to run the length.

I also ran into the same problem shooting on cloudy day and only a handful of decent shots.:(

While waiting to shoot some landscape sunset images yesterday I had my 7D with 100-400L with me expecting a few games images (This is Africa after-all :) )

As the sun dipped lower it passed behind a few fluffy clouds and the later behind a more substantial bank, here are the results with the 7D and 100-400 @ around 400mm.

Thanks for looking!
Rudi

PS, did get one or two Zebra and Wildebees shots but the sunset never happened due to the clouds ;)
