Sub'd

And in line with the topic, I did this in two mins in LR4 to rescue the image and give it some pop.

The engine bay is of a 1990 Celica All Trac with a fully built, 2.2L 3S-GTE stroker motor and a Garrett GT4088R turbo. Owner is shooting for ~700-750awhp. He was just topping off fluid and starting it up for the 1st time since adding a second fuel rail, injectors and a newly rebuilt longblock.

Becoming a gear junkie.

I saw that on facebook earlier. My jaw hit the floor. By far your best rig shot yet.

Nothing drastic, just a simple edit:

Here's a couple of recent ones. Just trying new things and seeing what I can come up with. I might go back and play around with the Vette one some more. I'm not entirely happy with the outcome.

Can you explain why you use a rig, but still add lots of extra motion blur in software? I've noticed you use this technique with all of your shots. But it makes me wonder why use the rig in the first place if your going to do the main work in software anyway?

I have never added any sort of motion blur in post with software, what's you're seeing is a different exposure :).

I do about 100 shots every time I do a rig-shot, then I pick the best parts of each, and combine them for the final. What I posted as the "before" pic was just just one of those shots (the one I used for the car, I think). Here, let me post one that was right beside the one I used for the background (I can't post the actual background pic because it has my RAW changes on it).

I could write down the settings, delete the temp-file that stores them, save the jpeg, then open the RAW again and re-apply the settings/open, but I think he gets the idea from the shot above. Or do you know a different way?

Do your RAW edit setting get saved on a separate text file next to each RAW image after you use the RAW editor? That is how mine is on my Mac. If so select the RAW files only without the text files, copy and paste them on to your desktop or in a different folder. If you open the pasted files, they will open in RAW editor without any of the edits from your others and will be as SOC. Hope that makes sense. It's what I do for my before and afters, so it's the true SOC before. Then you just save as JPEG and done!

Ok, now that makes sense, please accept my apology for the presumption of software motion blur:rolleyes:

Thankyou for the enlightenment ;)

Ah, never thought of that, but you're right, copy/move, no settings file. Thanks!

Why roll your eyes, and wink at me? You asked a question, and gave you an honest answer. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother helping anyone.
