I was at Jackson Bottom Wetlands in Hillsboro, OR with my son on Saturday and got this shot of Mt. Hood in the distance. It was close to noon and pretty bright and hazy, so the shot isn't as clear as it could have been in the late evening's setting sun.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Ha, being a 'dutch man' myself, I was interested in this park and looked up some info:
"The mine is named for German immigrant Jacob Waltz, who purportedly discovered it in the 19th century and kept its location a secret. ("Dutchman" was a common, though inaccurate, American slang term for "German," derived from the German (external link) word for "German (external link)" – "Deutsch")."

Funny stuff :)
