Got invited to the gathering of some friends who all enjoying showing off their machine guns, other full auto toys, and suppressed goodness. Last year they sawed a burm in half at the range in Harkers Island, so this year it was held on the land of biggest farmland east of the Mississippi (57,000 acres)......at Open Ground Farm. I'll let the video and a couple of pictures do the rest of the talking......

Be sure to check out the video in HD.....

I pretty much live in the center of the lowcountry and I've never seen a lowcountry boil (aka frogmore stew) that looked like that.

Anyone care to share the recipe for a low country boil?

That looks mighty good and I'd love to put that on at my place one night.

Cheers,
Bear Dale

I think traditionally it has crawfish, but ours had sausage and chicken, along with the other veggies. Soooooo good.

And yes it was literally a blast out there.

6 quarts water
3/4 cup Old Bay Seasoning
2 pounds new red potatoes
2 pounds smoked sausage links, cut into 2 inch pieces
12 ears corn, cut in half
4 pounds large fresh shrimp, unpeeled

Bring water and Old Bay Seasoning to boil in a large pot.
Add potatoes and cook for 15 minutes.
Add sausage and cook for 5 minutes more.
Add corn and cook for another 5 minutes.
Stir in the shrimp and cook until shrimp are pink, about 5 minutes.
Drain and serve.

Wow... How much do you think all that gear is worth?

How does the cost of this gun shooting hobby compare to a big boy hobby photog?
