I actually just tried on my X-E1. I'm still assessing the accuracy of the distance scale but by the reports I've read there shouldn't be any major issues in practice. Manual focusing definitely speeds up the camera! Settings were f/11, 1/125s, distance set so that anything from about 2.5m to 5m would be in focus, auto-ISO 6400. Pictures were crap artistically, but seemed acceptably sharp :).

Great shots Dennis. These would make nice framed prints for an office space or something. NYC must be a great city to live in for photography.

Also, I finally got impatient and purchased the X-E1 Kit, in preparation for an upcoming wedding in May.

I picked up the SLR Magic 23 1.7 tonight in Hong Kong, will give it a shot tomorrow. The quality feels good, but will have to see how it performs.
