I have a few but like I said, I've only been posting when I had something to add to the discussion. Since I love my original Cinch, I can't wait to try the new version, so I'm one of the patiently waiting.

I wouldn't worry about missing the soft launch. It won't be a big secret or anything and even if your spam filter snags the email, or you miss the FB and twitter posts, I am sure people will post the URL on various forums.

The only reason we are doing the soft launch is because we have hundreds of people stacked up to buy Cinches who have been waiting forever. At this point, the angry and accusatory emails have started coming in (one guy wrote in, accusing us of sitting on a stockpile of Cinches... I've yet to figure out the logic by which he seems to think we don't enjoy having paychecks). We see no need to make them wait while we make all the marketing collateral.

Looking forward to it when it is ready. Thanks for all your hard work! :)

Oh dear, if that's an actual rule... and I'm only supposed to chime in when I've something relevant to contribute... then my postcount should be around 35-40 :p

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Would have been three, but I forgot. Regarding auto-merging posts--blame the game, not the player. I'm too lazy to hit the multi-quote button :)

Not to beat a dead horse, but I've noticed quite a few generic straps on the market that mostly copied the Luma Loop's sliding connector. It makes me wonder why the Loop had to be killed off so quickly. Are other manufacturers getting away with it because they're based in other countries where US patent laws don't apply?

Either they aren't visible to the patent holder's legal folks or they are so generic, determining who to go after is too difficult.

BR filed a lawsuit against the Carry Speed folks this January:

That's not surprising. A buddy of mine has one (not a fan personally), and I thought for sure they were going to get sued for that one.

Yeah, I've seen at least one strap from them that was essentially identical. I guess another one bites the dust.

Interesting read if nothing else. It amazes me that a concept as simple and intuitive as a sliding connector can be patented. If they spent as much money on innovation as they do on lawyers, I might still be buying black rapid hardware--can't stand the feel of their equipment.
