Maybe when I do eventually order, I should mention to them that you referred me to their site. Haha

You don't have too. It's not working that way. I'm just marking up my price when someone needs a canvas print. They're way cheaper than costco that's why I'm marketing them.

the 35L is like a macro lens...you can focus sooo close.

Question..... for you guys having a 35mm FL lens and shoot 3/4 shots, do you think you're too close to the model or it's just right so you're more connected to the model.

When I shoot kids at school for their yearbook, i am little bit in a distance(about 8 feet away). what happened was some of the kids tend to look somewhere else.

what are your thoughts about this?

I like leaving extra spaces on the sides though for cropping freedom.

OK, so don't laugh...but I played with some "gels" (aka colored CD cases) today. Just getting the feel for lighting. A long way to go and I can't convince the 16 yo to stop playing with his dirt bike to sit in "studio". lol

what was the original background, white? nice.

if you wanna avoid those color cast on the hairs, move away from the backdrop a bit. at least 5 feet. but it's also cool as you blended to the background color.

I'm excited! I just ordered a 16x20 canvas print of:

QUOTED IMAGE

I like Canvas Prints but there are some limitations and considerations with them. They wrap over the side of the frame and attached to the back. Hence you need plenty of surplus, unimportant, non distracting image to wrap over the edge.

I don't know if the above image is already cropped and you still have the original that might provide that extra required. Otherwise I see problems with the proportions meeting the 20x16 ratio and elements of the image are so close to the edge already.

Yeah I know. Thankfully I still had the original. It's something to think about when I shoot now.
