After that intense story JVthePT, and the images are unavailabe :o :)

Not sure what you're talking about? If you're referring to the pics I'm taking today, then yes they aren't available because I'm away from the computer. Had to travel for ball today.
As for "intense story" I think you're reaching a little. I find my keeper rate with this camera to be great, really the subject matter interest or framing is really the deciding factor for me not whether or not the camera did it's job. And it's not news that the 60d and 7d both suck at low light, high shutter speed shooting due to tons of noise.
Heck, if my 60d had better high ISO performance I wouldn't own the 6d.

If you took a look at his Flickr you would see awesome shots taken with his 7d. Some people can take a great photograph with whatever kit they own and Gabe is one of them. Fortunately too, he is very generous in sharing his techniques. He's an inspiration to those birders who can't afford a 1D4/500 F4 combo.
:D

Thank you for your kind words. :)

It's true, I still consider my 7D as my #1 birding camera mainly for the extra "reach", speed and AF system.
But the 6D is great too, it's AF is not too much behind the 7D (at least for most scenarios), and the IQ is fantastic. Its low light capabilities have opened new doors to shooting at dusk.

True! never thought this good 6d is, until I got one. I love how my 17-40L perform even on lowlight. I now conclude image quality is superb on FF.

I took the 6D to DC for the first time this weekend. I'm continually amazed by how much I can manipulate the files in post :) I try to get it "right" SOOC, but the amount of flexibility I have is ridiculous...

Her face was pretty underexposed in this shot, I was able to push it up a LOT without seeing any noticeable noise... I think people way over-exaggerate the advantage of Nikon's here...

I wish I was taller for this shot, but this was with my el-cheapo Sears 135/2.8 shot wide open. I'm pretty impressed by how sharp this lens is, the contrast is really lacking though, I boosted it a good bit in this shot. I'm starting to love this focal length though, I might see a new "L" in my future...

Nice shots Lucas, especially the misses.
What software are you using for post editing?

Thank you! She's not the Mrs. yet, but she's hoping... maybe if I can stop buying camera gear I can afford a ring  lol

I use Lightroom 4 for 99% of what I do.

One more of her with my friend's EF 50/1.4 (which I'm considering buying)

Can you post the picture before it was edited (i.e. the underexposed one)?

Should be able to fix that hue by playing with the white balance?
