Actually, B&H employs/is run by Hasidic Jews. The Jewish Sabbath is from Friday night through Saturday, which explains why their store closes at 2pm on Friday and remains closed Saturday.

Yes I have bought used glass from B&H. I have purchased 3 lenses from them. All were even better than advertised. I bought the 85 1.2L, which arrived after UPS abused it. I returned the lens and I was given a full refund. I just bought the same lens in even better condition, which should arrive by Wednesday. They are to be trusted!

B&H's reputation is top notch. I think they're the biggest visual/audio camera / lens retailer in NY.. well in manhattan anyway.

has anyone bought used glass from B&H before? i was just about to order my 70-200L new until i saw the used one. would it ship with the original box and warranty if it's marked as a "10"?

I bought a 17-40L, a 135L and a 70-200L used from B&H. All were in near-perfect condition. They all came with the manual but no warranty and not the original box.

That used 135L was the best deal I ever got anywhere.
