Had an opportunity to spend a couple days at Page, AZ and fly out over the Lake Powell shoreline to do some aerial landscape photography. An entirely new activity for me as I'm usually pointing my lens at aircraft and not out of them so C&C would be most welcome...

Our mount was this Remos G3 600 (external link) owned and flown by a friend of mine who came down from Colorado. Our original plan was to fly at sunrise and sunset across three full days but that got cut down to one evening and one morning flight due to weather and high winds.

Enjoy...

There's a pretty good "bathtub ring" showing at Lake Powell right now...

Have long wanted to take a flight over that area, but just haven't pulled the trigger. These really show the desolation we know is out there, but it's hard to describe. The photos do the job. Nice work, Jay.

I spend a lot of time there but have never seen from above, in person.

Those are great shots, thanks...

Fantastic shots Jay. After seeing the aircraft you flew in, it's easy to see how you avoided reflections from the windows. :D

Wow! Really like 1, 3, 7, and 8, but all are very good. The last two are exceptional!

Just swung the doors open in flight! Got a little chilly though! :(
