I call my camera "My Wife".
Everytime someone invites me I ask: "Can I bring my wife?" :D
Some people actually started asking "Are you bringing your wife?" :D

Edit: it actually has a Facebook profile and I am in a relationship with it. Yes. I love my 5D3 that much. :D

Photography is about GEAR and not talent or practice. Practice won't make you a better photographer. Expensive equipment will. =D

Alex, after looking at your sig, one doesn't need much convincing of your relationship!

I acquired an expensive camera so I can hang out in forums, annoy wedding photographers during formals and look down on P&S users... all the while telling people it's the photographer, not the camera.

The only camera I've owned that ever really got and kept a nickname was and is still my EOS 3, specifically when the PB-E2 is attached. Somehow Big Bertha has stuck with it and I don't even call it that.

"Wilson #3"

The "#3" part because it's my third DSLR. "Wilson" is named after a friend who is better than me.

No name yet, but while cleaning the sensor I shout:

"This is my camera, there are many like it, but this one is special!..."
