I swapped the main pcb in and still no luck.
The quote I got from the local camera shop was insane, but they did mention something was wrong with the power.. hmmm

I started doing a little research on the net in regards to these 3 boards..
I checked all the fuses on the DC DC board and the bottom pcb..

Aha.. found the culprit.
1 N Fuse was showing voltage over 0.

Now soldering isn't my speciality on such small objects.. I may just get the board, but I would hate to waste a good board for $3 fuse.

With 5D Mk IIIs, CF pins are bending at an amazing rate. With the latter, I suspect the combination of a CF slot and and SD slot (rather than 2 CF slots) allows CF cards to wiggle a bit more during insertion, so the card slots might not line up with the pins properly. I don’t know that there will be an easy fix for this, but be gentle putting those CF cards in your 5D III.

Ah, I just wanted to give everyone a great update to this story.
Well when the main pcb's pin got pushed in and broke.. it shorted out the dc/dc pcb.
I replaced both boards on the camera for around $250.... The local repair shop quoted me $900.. and gave me complete b.s..
I got both parts from a great dude on ebay Hdtechsa
man.. the guy showed me very every little detail on the camera and even sent me a couple free fuses for the dc/dc board that I blew out.. he showed me exactly which fuse blew, but unfortunately those fuses were way too small to solder.. I ended up getting a new one from him.

Popped both boards in.. wallah!
good as new..
