I'll admit that I'm not good at bird shots, nor do I really care for taking them, but I certainly don't feel limited by the 6D's AF ;)

Zoom in 100% and then see how that shot fares. I suspect it will be very blurry and will demonstrate why the extra £££ for the 5D3 is justified.

Except that it's not... If you look at the birds wings it's very obviously sharp

I love how people refuse to accept that the 6D's AF is not atrocious. Yea, the 5DIII's is better, but for 75% of shooters, it's not $1200 better. I've had my hands on the 5DIII several times, I'll keep my 6D :p

Here you go, in focus enough for you? (Here's a hint, he's not standing still ;))

This thread has me intrigued.

I've rented the 5DMKIII and I like it. I'll rent the 6D and see if this would be a more suitable step for upgrading from my T1i. Hell, might as well check out the 1DsMKIII as well.

Chipper for president of this thread. :D
Imagine this picture hanging in a museum and the guide telling to the tourists: "And here you can see Chipper who asked his servant Lucas to take a picture of him so he could show it to his offspring later...". :D

The 6D plus 24-105 lens is currently selling for $2199 at B&H. That is the lowest I've seen thus far. I might have to just go for it. I've been waiting patiently for over a month to make a move. This may be my time!

What!?! I've been researching the crap out of a new FF DSLR for the last couple weeks, and after reading this whole thread, I was almost ready to pull the trigger. That price would get me off the fence I'm sitting on! I still see the $2399 price at B&H on their site though.

BTW, great forum here, I'll be around now.. cheers!

I've had it in my cart since last night at $2199, just checked and it's back to $2399, I panicked and pressed the order button and it went through at $2199...I wonder if I got lucky because everywhere else I look it's $2399 after the current rebate.
