I saw that its not recommended to use the suction cups on vinyl wrap, what if you place the farther one on the window and the other just RESTING on the vinyl wrap and not actually sucking?

Figure someone needs to answer before its too late!

DONT DO THAT! The outcome may be worst than actually mounting it.

Hey there, I've been looking through this thread for days now and I have a question. I see many people using CS6 for photo shopping the rig out of the picture but would I be able to get by with just Elements 11 and Lightroom 4? I have a lot to learn in post processing but I really want to give this auto rig a try. My kit is in the making.

The only chance would be with the spot removal tool

Im renting a lotus exige s in a few weeks. Do you guys know where to rent a rig from in the US? Im outside of Philly, maybe someone around this area would let me rent theirs? Dont need to spend hundreds for a one time shoot just for personal use!

Let me know, thanks,

dang.. Im getting OK at lightroom and not so efficient with elements yet. I cant imagine what cs6 is going to be like. I had cs4 back a year or so and couldn't do a damn thing with that.. gave up. I see many you tube videos in my future.

Great pictures ^!!!

Would one of you be so kind as to send me a raw file of one of your shots so I can practice cloning out the boom please? My poles are in the mail..

Hi everyone, i'm Murray from Scotland.

I'm a bit of a lurker on here, but after ordering a rig I've done nothing but look through this thread day after day from the very beginning.
Some of you guys have done brilliant jobs in creating your own rigs, but I didn't want to go down that route so I bought a 6m carbon one from Car Camera Rig. Pricey I know, but it seems to be the best of the best available at the moment.
I'm now considering getting a 10-20mm lens too as the widest I currently have is 17mm on a 7D. I'm sure the 6m boom will still give me plenty distance, but I reckon a 10-20mm will be so much better.
Anyway, i'm just waiting on a couple of F830's to be delivered from Manfrotto then my rig will be shipped to me. Hopefully it'll be here by Thursday so i'll be posting my first shots very soon.
Watch this space...
