Only arrived at 2 or 2.30 or so. But what a gorgeous photograph that is, isn't it? Knowing the scene he must have had the best spot there to be able to take that. And he is obviously very good at this stuff. My shots are definitely no match for that... Wild Birds of Europe: https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=19371752

After an endless Winter there was sun and yesterday I could even be outside without my coat on! And on both days I went out with Nifty. Now I had planned to process the shots today but the weather was wonderful again and I so much wanted to be outside and see the birds that I did. I apologize for the delay, but if all goes well I should be able to post some Rijksmuseum shots later this evening. Wild Birds of Europe: https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=19371752

The Nemo especially is just fascinating and somewhere I'd love to visit. IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE] IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE] #2 - GoodLife is relatively new to Bend, but has gained a big following. IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE] #3 - 10 Barrel is on a main street in the trendy part of town and during the summer has twice as much outdoor seating as indoor, and is totally packed. IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE] #4 - Bend Brewery is in the downtown and its patio seating looks over Mirror Pond. Very warm and inviting place during the winter, although it seems a bit outdated compared to many of the other breweries in town. IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE] #5 - Crux is one of several brand new additions to the brewery scene here. Very cool brew-pub, and even though it backs the freeway, the mountain views make it a really relaxing place to eat. IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE] #6 - Cascade Lakes I think is the second oldest brewery in town (Deschutes being the oldest), and even though this is their flagship public house, their brewery is in a neighboring town called Redmond. The interior is nice, but they are practically under the freeway and I don't think offer any outdoor seating (a must in Bend). I'd give Silver Moon second place in terms of beer quality. IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE] #8 - Brew Werks specializes in German style beers, and is the only place in town that I know of that hosts beers from other breweries. It's sort of unusual but also very cool since all their host brews are from out of town microbreweries and get rotated frequently. IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE] #9 - Boneyard is the most bare-bones (sorry) brewery in town, as they operate out of this former auto-shop, and only have a small tasting room as opposed to a full-on public house. However, they have the BEST beer in town, in my opinion. They don't have a large selection, and they don't bottle their beer, but maybe this narrow focus is why their beer is so good. IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE] #10 - You can't live in Bend and not own at least one growler. The big one on the left is the elaborate jug that Deschutes sells. The smaller one is Boneyard's "growlette" and is perfect for people like me who don't want to drink four beers in a day. IMG NOTICE: [NOT AN IMAGE URL, NOT RENDERED INLINE] — Neil
