My take on the ASARCO stacks

This past Saturday, the ASARCO smokestacks here in El Paso, TX were knocked down using explosives. Thought I would put together a 4 shot "cliff note" version of what it was like.

The smaller stack is 612-foot tall and the larger one is 828-foot tall. The Washington Monument is only 555 ft tall for comparison sake. For more info on the history of ASARCO --> http://www.tshaonline.​org …ook/online/arti​cles/dka02 (external link)

Hi from a fellow El Pasoan! Great pictures! I think I've seen them floating around Facebook. Wish I could've been there for the demolition...

Did you by any chance get the city hall demolition?

Me too. I wasn't in El Paso then. Why are they doing this again? For a baseball stadium I heard?
