f8 focus is important to some not so for some. I am the latter. So meh. Likely I won't even have time to get to it until June or until photoshoot season is over. Not in a rush for me. YMMV of course.

Now if the FW will address the slow dual write to CF and SD card, then I want it NOW! :D

Auto ISO with slowest shutter speed above 1/250.

That's what I'm waiting for.

I was thinking the same thing. I glad you brought it up.

Don't they have the 'slow to achieve focus with focus assist/speedlight' problem to integrate into it too?

May set it back.

I'm really interested in this one. I also wish the have the af point light up in servo mode like the 1dx too but that probably won't happen.

What I'm hoping to see is something that helps show the focus points better, especially in the dark...

The f8 thing is a so-so thing, I know it will come in handy at some point...
The video/sound stuff that's getting most of the press for this release is of no interest...

If they follow basic software revision standards v1.2 sounds likely:

First digit change: Complete rewrite or major revision with substantial changes
Second digit change: Significant new enhancements, updates, and/or features, added to the current version level
Third digit change: Minor updates, features, service packs, and/or bug fixes added/applied to the current version level

So based on that I'd say no way it's a 2.x version. Probably v1.2 will be what we see or if v1.2 has bugs they fix pre-release maybe v1.2.1

If they would allow auto ISO in manual mode to function with flash the same way it does without, instead of being locked to 400, I will be pleased, but doubt it. Would be useful at fast-paced events and in quick lighting changing situations.
